Arts Club

♦ Ashrayam College of Arts and Science, Kollengode, under the leadership of the Arts Club and College Union, observed Reading Day on 19 June 2025. On this occasion, the Principal, Dr. P. K. Sudarsanan, delivered a talk on the importance of reading and how it enriches knowledge and personal development. A Reading Day Quiz competition was also conducted in the evening, with enthusiastic participation from students across various departments.

♦ As part of the extended Reading Week Observation, a special lecture on the significance of reading was held on 24 June 2025. The session was led by Mr. Sajesh Chandran, a Mathrubhumi Reporter and Social Activist, who shared his insights on the transformative power of reading in today's digital age. The event began with an address by the College Principal, Dr. P. K. Sudarsanan, emphasizing the college's commitment to promoting reading culture among students.

♦ Thirteen students from 1^st BCom and 1^st BSc Psychology participated in various events, including poem recitation, light music, short story writing, group song, and patriotic song, at the A Zone Arts competition conducted by Calicut University at Najath College, Mannarkkad, from January 28 to 31 and February 1, 2025.

♦ To provide a platform for the students to develop their skills in art, literature etc

Activities
♦ Conduct literary and art competitions to nurture the budding artists and writers
♦ Celebrate and showcase the success of the students.
