Department of Psychology at
Aashrayam College of Arts and Science observed
World Mental Health Day on
10 October 2025 with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of mental health and emotional well-being. A key highlight of the programme was the
Musical Therapy Session titled
'Music for Peace of Mind' led by
Mrs. Deepika,
Consulting Psychologist and Sports Psychologist. She explained various techniques for reducing stress, enhancing focus, and achieving emotional balance through music. The programme was presided over by the
College Principal, Dr. P. K. Sudarsanan, who emphasized the need for increased mental health awareness and support among students.
★ As part of the
World Mental Health Day observance on
10 October 2025, students from
Ashrayam College conducted a
street play and awareness session at
Yogini Mata School and in
Kollengode town, with the support of the
Kollengode Janamaithri Police. The activities aimed to spread awareness on mental health, reduce stigma, and encourage a culture of empathy and psychological well-being in the community. The street play effectively communicated the importance of seeking help for mental health issues and breaking down societal barriers.

Aashrayam College, in collaboration with
Aspiration Block Kollengode, successfully hosted a
two-day Life Skills Program titled
'Leaders' for
higher secondary students on
January 10-11, 2025. The program aimed to develop essential life skills, leadership qualities, and personal development among young students.

On 20th December 2024, Aashrayam College of Arts and Science, Kollengode, celebrated
the festive spirit of Christmas. Students sang Christmas carols and presented a mesmerizing performance. The campus was decorated with colorful lights, stars, and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere.

On October 23, 2024, the Arts Club of Ashrayam College of Arts and Science, in association with Ashrayam Rural Development Society, hosted a
powerful street theater program. The play tackled critical social issues:
- POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) crimes
- Domestic Violence
- Substance abuse
The performance aimed to raise public awareness about these pressing social concerns and encourage community dialogue on prevention and support.

On 12th September 2024, Arts Club of Aashrayam College of Arts and Science conducted
Onam celebration. It was marked with traditional fervour, with students and faculty members dressed in their finest traditional attire. The celebration included traditional games, cultural performances, and a festive Onam Sadhya, showcasing Kerala's rich cultural heritage.

On February 28th 2024, Aashrayam College of Arts and Science hosted a farewell for IIIrd year B.Com & BA Sociology students. A particularly touching moment of the event was when final year students shared their experiences on their three year journey at the college, reflecting on their personal growth, friendships, and memorable moments.
